Your files stay on your computer

When you add exports to CountSift, your browser reads them and does the comparison itself. The files, their names and everything in them stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded to CountSift or to anyone else, and nothing is kept after you close the tab. The CSV report and the printout are made in your browser too.

What we count

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records which pages are opened (the start page, and a results page when a comparison finishes), the site that linked you here, and general details such as browser, device type and country.

It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Cloudflare says it doesn’t fingerprint visitors or follow them to other sites. It never sees your files, their names, customer names or any numbers from them. Those never leave your browser and are never put in the page address.

Who else is involved

  • CountSift is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the technical details of your visit, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages.
  • The page downloads a CSV-reading library (Papa Parse) from cdnjs, Cloudflare’s public code library. Only the library is downloaded; nothing is sent to it.

No accounts, no cookies

There’s no sign-up and no payment. CountSift sets no cookies and saves nothing in your browser.
